What to see at dermoscopy:
-lesion greater than 5 mm
-atypical reticular pattern (some areas with broadened pigment network)
-globules (rares)
-hypopigmented areas
-structureless area
Extirpation was indicated. Histopathology correlation was: lentiginous junctional nevus

In a 25-year-old woman, on the trunk;previous history of other nevi extirpation (including a dysplastic nevus)
What to see at dermoscopy:
-Multicomponent pattern
-Globules
-Irregular distributed dots
-Negative pigment network at the periphery of lesion
-Irregular blotches at central area
-Blue-white veil
-Perifollicular hypopigmentation
-Hypopigmented areas
Extirpation was suggested and histology correlation was: compound nevus

What to see at dermoscopy:
-multicomponent pattern

-radial streaming (arrow)
-irregular vessels
-chrysalis structures (circle)
-blue-white veil

Extirpation was indicated
Dermoscopy in favor of melanoma

In a 56-year-old man, on the neck
What to see at dermoscopy:
-reticular pattern with irregular pigment network
-branched streaks
-sharp and irregular border at the upper side of lesion
-irregular hypopigmentation
-blotches
-milia-like cysts
-comedo-like opening
Biopsy was indicated
Histopathological correlation: melanoma in situ

In a 55-year-old woman, on the arm
What to see at dermoscopy:
-multicomponent pattern
-irregular and broadned pigment network
-globules
-blotches
-hypopigmented and structureless area
-blue-white veil
-regression areas (scar-like depigmentation)
-erythema
-red lacunae on the left side of lesion (second dermascopic picture)
Excision was indicated and histology confirmed the diagnosis of melanoma in situ
Comments: the image of red lacunae might correspond to a cherry hemangioma (collision tumor).
